President George Bush's Security Details in Peru APEC Visit is More Like an Invasion Rather Than a Head of State Meeting:
By Marc Chamot

According to Peru21 daily newspapers and other sources, it wasn't enough for president George Bush to trust his security details with the Peruvians, but instead counted on a whole American armada including two aircraft carriers strategically placed along the shores of Lima. Including six hundred American agents from the Secret Service, CIA, American military police, FBI, and the DEA.

They all went to Peru to keep an eye on president George Bush's safety without the sight of any of the specially trained squadrons of Peruvians police and paramilitary units specializing in foreign dignitary security details.

The whole Peruvian nation is shocked, awed and annoyed with Bush and the armada of U.S. security details that accompanied him to Peru for his latest APEC conference with 21 other world leaders and their representatives.

What's even more shocking for the average Peruvians other than seeing two U.S. aircraft carriers type Kitty Hawks or Nimitz stationed right outside their shores of Lima, with one stationed right by the shores of the elegant city of Miraflores. It was the American Blackhawk helicopter loaded with artillery cannons following the president briefly above the streets of Lima, along with American security detail snipers being spotted on rooftops along the way.

Bush's American security details also included top experts in counter terrorism details and specialists in infiltrating telecommunications.

It took up six huge military transport planes, and his presidential plane to transport the men, vehicles, and their gears for this strange security detail for an American president never seen in Peru, or elsewhere for that matter in the world on any prior presidential visits.

The Marriott Hotel was completely sealed off for the president's expected visit, but sources say that President Bush ended spending the night on one of the aircraft carriers moored off shore instead.

Chamot's opinion, brief and short (after I get done with my hysterical laughter of disbelief):

Is Bush's paranoia finally sinking in? Calling this man paranoid is an understatement, a lowly country like Peru? Peru has their fair share of rateros and ladrones (thieves), but a plot to go after him in measly Peru? George Bush must have had Peru confused for Iran and other Muslim countries that truly hates his guts.

Well, here we go again with the lamest of all American presidents. Not only he violated a sovereign nation's rights, he also cost undue amounts of American taxpayer money for this folly.

With the state of the economy the way it is, I estimate the total cost for Bush's travel madness to be between $250 million dollars to $750 Million and more for his short stay in Peru. Oh my, Oh my, how incredibly asinine!
