THE PROBLEM WITH THIS EXAMPLE IS THAT EISENHAUER REFUSED TO TOUCH THE NEW DEAL. THE RATES YOU REFER TO WERE THOSE IMPOSED BY FDR THAT DESTROYED CAPITAL FORMATION AND PROLONGED THE DEPRESSION JUST AS OBAMAS REGULATORY MONSTER IS DESTROYING THIS ONE. UNEMPLOYMENT AT 4.5% UNDER THE BUSH TAX RATES INCREASED REVENUES TO THE GOVERNMENT. SAME WITH REAGANS RATES. AND JOHN KENNEDY'S.

it wasn't for nothing that, as he left office, eisenhower made a very pessimistic speech about the impending rise of the military-industrial complex...

obama should have made his VERY FIRST ACT repealing the tax breaks... he should have drawn a line in the sand that the direction america had been heading was going to be reversed...

instead, he played golf...

so, is anyone SUPRISED that poverty is up (as well as disparity in wealth)?... i'm not...

HINT HINT- WHEN YOU DESTROY THE MIDDLE CLASS, AS OBAMA IS DOING, YOU CREATE A GREATER DISPARITY IN WEALTH. YOU END UP WITH BILLIONAIRES (LIKE BUFFET) AND POOR PEOPLE.
